<p><span class="orange">Syzygy</span><br />Amazingly, given the client, it  never even occurred to me to get copies of the work we produced. I also  wrote the introduction sequence to the SMART website and didn't save  that either. I  found the word files... I quite like the copy and Mercedes-Benz is  Mercedes-Benz, so here they are. Best of all? I never actually even sat in one. And certainly not next to a waterfall.</p>

<p>Widely perceived as a Victorian institution, the Salvation Army needed to be seen in a more dynamic, global, and accessible light. This we communicated through a small pamphlet that opened out in the shape of a cross, and a hardback book to celebrate the philosophy behind their new international headquarters, opened by HRH Princess Anne.</p>

<p><span class="style2"><span class="orange">Twelve</span><br />Bacardi's global empire is founded on the pioneering spirit of its founder, Don Facundo Bacard&iacute;. As the inventor of white rum, he also lays claim to helping give birth to world famous cocktails like the mojito, pi&ntilde;a colada and daiquiri, which were made with Bacardi before any other rum. We were commissioned to write a history of the Bacard&iacute; family, and cocktail books based on this man's great 'Legacy'.</span></p>

Mark Lester wanted to run a single piece of cotton all the way through this fairly dry brochure aimed at ABN AMRO&rsquo;s global wholesale clients. ABN AMRO wanted to reaffirm their commitment to long-term relationships. A happy marriage was made when that commitment became &ldquo;the common thread that draws all of our resources and skills into a powerful whole.&rdquo;</p>

<p><span class="orange">NB Studio</span><br />D&amp;AD is the design and advertising community's equivalent of the Oscars. These magician's gloved hands became the theme of the 2010 Awards Dinner. <p class="style2"><span class="orange">Twelve</span><br />If you've been through Heathrow airport recently you might have seen this impressive glass sculpture, or 'gondola' as it's known, as you browsed through Duty Free. Weighing nearly half a ton, with 70kg of beautifully polished lead crystal glass, and needing a forklift truck to put it in place, it also comes with about 50g of writing, by me.</p>

The tone needed to communicate a sense of gorgeous luxury that bordered on - but never spilled over into - hedonism.</p>

<p><span class="orange">Hat-Trick Design Consultants</span><br />Marie Stopes International wanted to win support for its initiatives to achieve Millennium Development Goal 5 - better maternal health - by 2015. We helped generate the name of the campaign - 'Five by Fifteen' - and then developed a website and printed material. The theme was doors and accessibility, in keeping with Marie Stopes' own logo. The&nbsp;soundtracks for the&nbsp;animations were played on doors.</p>

Now they were out in the marketplace, attempting to convince potential business customers that 'impossible' today is, well, nothing of the kind tomorrow. Which is what this brochure is about. Coincidence, by the way, that thing about 'Q'. Pay attention 007.</p>
